How is Batman Arkham Asylum? I played a demo and it seemed pretty fun I just never picked it up and don't see myself doing it now with MW2 and Assassins Creed 2 out.

I don't have it either, but everything I have read or been told makes me believe it's OUTSTANDING. At some point I will get that one.

The Batman game is pretty sweet. difficult in some stages, but pretty darn awesome. It's worth renting, seeing as the game doesn't take that long to beat. I traded it in for MW2. It's still a great game, just poor replay value if you beat it on the hardest difficulty, ya know?

I agree. The game is phenomenal. Has a great storyline, impressive graphics and solid, intuitive controls. The first batman game that hasn't sucked. Just to prove the production quality, they have mark hammil voicing the joker as well as the guy (forget his name) that voiced batman in the 90's cartoon.

The replay value is lacking, but overall I spent over 20 hours on the game, solving the riddler clues and finding all the question marks. Plus, the game has different challenge modes where you can just jump in to an arena like setting and start kicking some goon ass.

While I think RDR is pretty fun, I am playing on a 30 inch TV, and I can't read the stuff being written on the screen. Highly, highly disappointed in this stuff. There is no way to enlarge the script on screen either. And the multiplayer? I keep getting slaughtered trying to get out of free roam.

Ugh. I see this will be another game I am entertained with for about two weeks and then stop playing. Dammit.

They drum up false demand by requiring customers to pre-order games and only order enough copies to fill those pre-orders. Only problem is, it's a hell of a lot easier to walk into Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Meijers, etc. to pick the game up whenever you want.

I agree, they do this for every major release, but up until now I've been able to get the games on the day they release at my local GameStop without a pre-order. I'd go to any of the other joints, but they don't offer the trade-in value I get at GameStop (at least i think they don't), which is the main reason why I pick that place first. Do you guys know if Meijer, Walmart, Best Buy etc. do trade-ins for old games?

On an every day basis, they do not. I have seen Best Buy run specials for trade in games from time to time though.

Trade-ins are Gamestop's true money making racket. They give five bucks for a game that they will then turn around and sell for forty. If you can't tell, I despise that place. with the game producers starting to combat used game sales, I will be happy to watch Gamestop die a swift and painful death.

I was on the phone with my cousin one day and he was at the mall with his wife. His son had ruined his copy of MW2 and he was going to Gamestop to pick up another copy. They wanted $45 for a used copy of the game. Luckily for him, I was on the phone and stopped him from buying it. Amazon was selling the game new for $5 cheaper.
