La Salle vs. South Carolina on ESPNU with about 2-1/2 minutes remaining in the first half.
Devon Downey still playing for the Gamecocks, and Darrin Horn, X coach candidate is HC.
I think La Salle is the better team, but the game is in Charleston. Not a huge crowd, but very partisan obviously.
I'm used to watching La Salle blow it in the OOC, so I'll be surprised if they win.

And just like that La Salle lets Gamecocks go on an 11-2 run to finish the first half, and La Salle trails by 2.
Richmond lost earlier tonight to William & Maryjane, so the A10 could really use the win.

Some said Richmond would challenge this year.
Boy, do I dislike this conference.

Some said Richmond would challenge this year.
And they will. Not to make excuses, but there is a reason the BCS teams never leave their home arenas except to play on a neutral court, or maybe another BCS team.
Boy, do I dislike this conference.
It does make it a challenge to follow. But there are 20+ worse conferences, so....

I think Richmond and LaSalle are solid this year, but I don't think either team really has the horses to keep up with UD and X, who I firmly believe are a step above everyone else.

USC opens up an 8 point lead at the first media timeout of the 2nd half.
I need a piece of pecan pie. Is it pecan pie, or pecahn pie?

LaSalle getting drilled...they've been a little dissappointing so far for a team who is supposed to challenge in the A10, squeaking by Hampton and now getting smoked by Cocks.

In this game at least USC looks like world beaters.

La Salle will play Davidson I believe tomorrow. Don't know how well Davidson travels, but they're bound to have more people there than La Salle. Hopefully La Salle can salvage something out of this tourny by getting a couple wins.

I think USC is pretty solid. LaSalle looked OK -- not world-beaters, but OK.

I tried to find a bracket for this tourny last night and couldn't. How sucky are these promotors that they can't even post a friggin bracket? They got one thing right though: La Salle (and the A10) got dicked again by having to play the tourney hosts (and presumably one of the top seeds) in round 1.

South Carolina is not the host of that tournament. They are probably the #1 seed however.

**Edit- Here is the actual link to the bracket.

The event is played at the new Carolina First Arena in Downtown Charleston. It's a great Arena in downtown Charleston. Do these preseason tournaments actually seed teams or do they base them for TV? My guess is LaSalle vs USC was what ESPN wanted them to do.
Why did Puerto Rico put all 3 ranked teams on one side of the bracket and make them play the early games?

I actually found that bracket last night, but I guess the size of the font they used to list the teams caused me to miss them. D'oh!
La Salle should've at least played USF. Penn St. got the otherside of the bracket since they are from the badass Big 10. And they proceeded to get beat by UNC-W!

La Salle gets the win over Davidson. Davidson is 0-3 now, but they should win their fair share in the SoCon.
La Salle will play Tulane next who beat Penn State today. Penn St. fans must be loving (sarc) the Nit' Lions start.

La Salle gets a win over Tulane in their final game in this tourney. I think that means they finished 5th. Whatever the case they went 2-1, so not their typical OOC disaster.
