Finally getting the live broadcast from goxavir.com,,, 37-29 at the half, the rebounding edge is the big difference.

Besides the big three, most impressive on the stat list. Ty Moss 11 points (3-5, 3-4 from 3pt) a rebound 1 assist, a steal and 2 blocks. that was in 18 minutes, she picked up 3 fouls in the 1st half.

Good win for the Xavier women today! USC is not the best team ever, but very capable of having a great year. They remind me of Xavier a few years ago because they're really young with A LOT of High School All Americans! The overtime experience will be good for the team in the future. Out west Xavier Women have struggled over the years picking up wins so I find this a very good win! Good games by April, Ta'Shia, and Amber! They all had double doubles! They shot so many 3's today! That was like all of their points almost. The guards need to get up in their face!

That's very impressive...Glad Amber had a great first game.

The more I see of Moss and Rutan, the less worried I become about the SG position, at least offensively. The two of them combined for 20 points! Defensively, might be a different story -- they must continue to improve their defense as we gave up too many 3's today.

Nice to see Ta'Shia, Amber, and April have double doubles today.

I'm still really worried about the offense as a whole though. We still have too many stretches where we don't score and can't hit a jump shot. I'll be interested to see how well we do in our next few games. Arizona State should be a big test.

Not the best game, but I'll take it. Now on to a very tough match-up against Arizona State this Saturday.

The points in the paint carried the team overall, and that's where I'm sure the money will be made this year.
Three double doubles for our big 3 will probably be the way to a win throughout the season.
I feel that once Special gets on track shooting (she was 2-9 friday) this really will be one tough team to beat.

Interesting thing about Ty Moss, her baskets really just seem to come in the clutch, I think she was no points, but no shots taken, or maybe just one till very late in the game. Those three pointers she hit were absolute necessities at the time. and what about her 2 blocks??? This girl is listed at 5'9" I recall her being much smaller last year.
