Observations just based on watching via Gametracker.
They got off to a slow start offensively, but once the offense started rolling it was picking up speed through the 1st half.
36-12 is a nice start. XU shot 40% , and 46& from 3 thnaks to Katie Rutan, 14 minutes, 4-9 shooting, 4 -7 from 3 point, 12 points, she is a candidate for many many minutes this year.

interested in hearing from someone who saw the game, while Indy shot 12% from the field, did they just shoot bad or is this a result of XU defense?

most interesting stat was rebounds, 23 for X, 21 for Indiy, how does that happen??

A few of the things that I took notice of watching the game:

Katie Rutan is going to be an unbelievable player for this program if she keeps that kind of shooting up. She was out in Brad Redford range for 2 of those 4 3-pointers.

The slow start was due primarily to not getting the ball down inside to Ta'Shia. In the second half we did and she was unstoppable, they had no answer for her. Special did a great job once she got settled in, didn't have a single turnover on the day.

The rebounding margin was a bit concerning like you mentioned, but a lot of it was contributed to X just being out of position, long rebounds, etc. It wasn't like we were being strong-armed down low and Indy has as good of players in the post as us.

Indy in the first half just had terrible shot selection. Their guards would drive to the basket and then be surprised that Ta'Shia, Amber, and April were there ready to swat the ball to about the 10th row. So quite a bit of their shots were just thrown over their shoulders in the lane, hoping they went in.
