SI asked nearly 300 NFL players who they thought was the dirtiest player in the league....and surprise, surprise, guess who it is....

I am not surprised in the least. To me this means that the respect for him isn't there. When you don't have the respect of peers, that is telling.

I HATE dayton.

This is actually Ben Roethlisberger's fault: http://kissingsuzykolber.uproxx.com/2009/11/hines-wald-he-who-is-uncrean.html

Hines Ward is evil and he works for the Great Satan.

I hate the Pittsburgh Steelers.

#4 on that list is a current Bengal. I can't say that I'm surprised, but he hasn't done anything dirty while he's been here (so far). Of course, you have to be out on the field to be able to make dirty plays.

"That's what he's known for," Bengals safety Chinedum Ndukwe said. "He's a blind-side guy."

Chinny and Kahns agree:

He's great at hitting guys hard that are looking in a different direction. He's a head hunter. Watch him for a game. Sure, he does plenty of blocking, but he saves his hardest hits for when the guy isn't looking.

I wish that someone would break him in half like Theismann.

I wish that someone would break him in half like Theismann.

That would be awesome. It would bring me great delight to see Hines Ward writhing on the ground in pain, with his tibia (and/or fibula) poking through his sock.

Is anyone else surprised that the NFL even lets this "poll" take place with its players?

Seems odd that they want their players voting on who is "dirtiest"

It's like a company communicating who amonst the staff is the laziest.

I know it's not the NFL conducting the survey, but c'mon, you'd think they'd have some control.

It may just be that they feel that any news is good news.

I think it would be pretty hard for them to regulate unless they said that anyone quoted talking about this is in trouble. But they could still do it guys just wouldnt be able to make comments on it.
