Seriously, he's nuts. Two multi-homer games in the World Series. Who else has done that in baseball history?

I'm an Orioles fans, but since I am rooting against the Yankees and just enjoy history, I simply am dumbfounded at the fact that Mr. Utley is doing what he's doing.

One of my favorite players, his swing reminds me a bit of Votto's, not to mention his demeanor. I don't know what kind of dap that man puts on his hair, but anyway he's tied the WS record for HR's with 5 --- 3 off lefty CC Sabathia. I'm enjoying this series and praying Pedro sends it to a 7th game.

Meanwhile Howard just struck out a record tying 12th time in a WS, lol.

I like how you think :D

Baltimore's had a tough row to hoe, must be nice to see the Yanks struggle.

If he has a good Game 6, he should get serious MVP consideration even from the losing side.

I'm not an advocate of starting beanball wars, but Utley needs to be brushed off the plate in a serious way. Dude practically stands on top of it,

Him, over Cliff Lee, even. Although, you might say Lee gives them confidence.

Is this a HR derby? Ibanez...

If he hits another one, and lets say they lose game 6 in a close one without any stand-out performances from any Yankee, then I could see it be a possibility. But with the media BJ for A-Rod, I think the douche is gonna get it.

For the record, any Yankee loss is a good loss. I'm still fuming over the 97 ALCS when butt-hole Jeffery Mayer (sp?) reached over the fence and pulled Jeter's homer over the fence. Changed the whole series.

God I hate both of these teams so much. I cant decide which I hate more. Couldnt possibly be a worse WS for Mets fans. The Mets should get at least a share both WS trophies if the Phillies win it all again.

Yea, I don't blame Mets fans for being annoyed with this series.

Again though, to be honest, the only fans in baseball that I'll ever let them say have a worse organization than my Orioles, would be the Pirates. They are just atrocious.

Davey Johnson's a good man, wished he landed the Reds spot 2 years ago.

And it's official. A-Rob just hit a two run double. If the Yankees win it all, he's the MVP. A-Rob has been clutch, to his credit. Just wish he wasn't such a prick so I could root for him. I've tried it before, since I think it's a shame and stupid that Bonds has the Home Run Record, but I think it's just a shade better to have A-Rod the record holder.

God, bring back the likes of Ripken. Class acts who play the game right.

Depending on the rest of the Series, of course, I think Damon is in the lead to be WS MVP from the Yanks. That steal of second and third at the same time of Game 4 is the play of the Series, and he's hitting .350 to boot.

But how man clutch RBI's and big hits has A-Rod have this series? I think he's been more valuable. Christ, I guess i'm in line to orally pleasure him now too. Right behind every media outlet there is... I feel cheap.

Will you be fellating regular A-Rod or centaur A-Rod? The people have a right to know.

Whichever one he wants. Lets be honest, probably both. He is one selfish prick.

With all due respect, I neg-repped you there. Part of me died to read such a terrible thing. IF something ever was to come out saying so, I'd stop watching baseball all together.

Just think about it, it makes a lot of sense.

Iron man playing in the heyday of steroids on a team that was later found to be infested with steroid users.

Just sayin...

Ripken rose above it.

He very well may have but I wouldnt be one bit surprised if we later found out he didnt.

Apparently Jose Canseco has alluded to a recent hall of famer who was a user but didnt say who. A lot of people have jumped to the idea that he was talking about Ripken. Who knows though but that guy has been the most truthful guys in baseball over the last 5 years.

You're bringing me down. Why? I'm currently flipping through my baseball card booklet with all my Ripkens. It wasn't like he was ripped or built like he used roids...

I can't take this.

Haha, just ignore the miserable Mets, Giants, and Knicks fan in me, I am just trying to bring everyone else down.

But seriously I would think if he did use them it was for recovery more than anything, but of course they wouldnt have hurt his numbers either.

Not many. A-Rod was terrible the first two game.

Not many. A-Rod was terrible the first two game.

Utley was hitless in games 2 and 3.

Still, I'd say he's having the best series at the plate of any player on either team, but handing the WS MVP trophy to a guy from the losing team seems counter-intuitive to the point of the award.

Of course...if Philly somehow wins these next two, Utley should get it. Ryan Howard has been a virtual no show other than a few walks and hits, so Chase has sometimes offensively had to put this team on his back.

Yes, I would give Utley the MVP over Lee. Well, you could give it to Girardi being that he apparently hasn't told his pitchers to stop throwing fastballs to Utley.

I'm a Yankees fan, so obviously I'm not thrilled with the outcome in Gm. 5 (or Gm. 1). However, I'm a big fan of Chase Utley and love that he's getting it done on the national stage. More people need to realize how good that guy is.
