I was one run off on how many I thought he would give up before it started. I thought it would be 4. He surprised me, did better than I thought he would.
agreed. This WS had been BORING!
Why? Because the Reds aren't in it?

I've enjoyed it. Disappointing, yes, but not boring for me.
Can we get the basketballs bouncing yet?!?!?

Not watching. The only benefit I get out of this one is one of these two teams will lose. Yankees rank as my number most hated team, not because of their success, but they way they are going out and buying it.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. I hate the yankees too but because I am a mets fan the mets and Yankees have shown in past years it takes a lot more than money to win the world series.
Can both these teams lose? Is that possible?

Can Mariano Rivera please age. That guy will be still shattering bats at 50.

Lidge was actually pitching pretty well, he made Matsui and Jeter look foolish prior to the Damon at bat. Damon just had an amazing at bat.

And Texeira, and A-Rod, and Posada

No, because it's the Yankees and the games have been ho-hum. I would guess the rating relfect this as well.

Ok, I stand corrected. The ratings were up 28% going into Saturday. I guess I just don't like the Yankees.

Once he starts fading he'll actually develop a second pitch. Just think how nasty he would be if he could mix in a change-up!

I don't know. Each game has seen multiple lead changes, and you have two incredibly powerful lineups with lots of star power.
I agree that other recent World Series have been snore fests, but not this one. Sure, the Yankees lead 3-1, but Lee could just as easily go in tonight and shut down NY to make it a series again.

and I hate the Yankees.
A guy from Boston who hates the Yankees? Say it ain't so!
I was up in Boston last week and all they talked about on sports talk radio was the Yankees. I couldn't figure out why they weren't talking about the Celtics or the Patriots, but I guess they hate the Yankees that much. It works for me, because I hate the Yankees too, so we all have something in common.

There are no Boston fans, only anti-Yankee fans.

I haven't really picked up the Red Sox love living here. Just the Yankee hate. The office mail guy comes by and gives me a fist bump every day after the Yankees lose. That's as into Boston sports as I can get.

The thing that pissees me off is that people view bullpens strictly in terms of their closers. Take Lidge and Rivera out of the equation and the Phillies bullpen is much better than the Yankees. But I am not dumb enough to pretend that you can ignore how good Rivera is and how horrible Lidge is. The Phillies should have made the switch to Madson as their closer at the end of the regular season and stuck with it.

This postseason? Yes. During the regular season? No.

The Yankees are within striking distance, or should I say Lidge-distance.
As I speak the Phils are warming up Madsen instead. Lots of faith there Manual.

What is that look Jeter always assumes at the plate? "You're shit out of luck, we're the Yankees."??

I love the look. Stanley Burrell, Tom Brady, and Kobe Bryant have that look. Winners all.

As a guy rooting for the Phillies, I've loved each game because even the losses were in question for a good while. As a Reds fan, I hope that Cincinnati will have a gift like this homegrown Phillies team.

Anybody know why Happ wasn't the 4th starter, and do you start Happ or Hamels (mental case).

Maybe Charlie thinks he is too young or has pitched too many innings this year.

I'd like to add Lionel Chalmers to this list.
