No problem. The Muskie gridders play with a lot of heart and yesterday was no exception. The team could have come out flat after the disappointing loss to Wright State last Saturday. Additionally, junior LB Phil Migitz who has anchored the defense for the past two years is injured and done for 2009. Furthermore, RB CJ Moreland and DL T.K. Washington were unavailable for the Wilmington game. LB James Tilton moved to the line and his play Sunday was instrumental in keeping the Quaker QB off balance. Then X lost two starters during the first half to injuries (RB Jim Castrigano (leg) and WR Nick Sexton (shoulder).

DB/KR Eric Miles who has seen some running duties in earlier games this season was pressed into service in the second half and his hard-nosed running style gained valuable yardage and ran time off the clock. As the recap indicates, this was a team effort all the way and bodes well for X's confidence as it heads into a tough game at the Univ. of New Orleans this weekend.

Muskies were also without standout soph linebacker, Wyatt Link on Sunday. Sorry for the omission but I understand he should be ready for the UNO game this weekend.
