Stumbled across this video on youtube. For those who play NCAA Basketball it looks like they have the Cintas Center on this years game.

About the 26 second mark.
Edit:
I forgot about the toughest places to play feature...anyway it's a sneak peek at what the Cintas Center looks like in the game.

My problem with the series is they always seem to do a poor job of evaluating the rosters of each team. Players either don't look anything like they should in real life, the ratings aren't close to correct, players are listed as different positions then what they should be, and sometimes players just are flat left out. Charles Bronson was the second best player on Xavier's team a couple of years ago in the game. If they did a better job of player evaluations I would get the game every year.

you do realize they can't make the players too close to their real-life counter parts right? That's against NCAA rules and their are a couple of lawsuits going right now involving EA's college football game.

They can make the white guys white and the black guys black. They even get that wrong a lot.

They normally at least get the player ratings somewhat accurate in the football games. In basketball it's ridiculous how off the ratings usually are.

I think they are playing UC. You would be able to make out Dayton's shorts from N. Kentucky.
Gus Johnson is a nice touch to this years game also.

I have the game from last year for PS 3, and I thought it was very cool. I love the fact you play the real schedule, and the players may not be exactly the same as real life, but I find they are pretty damn close.
I am going to have to buy this one.
I like the new additions to this years NCAA Football 10, so if they put those in this game I will be very happy.

I can't play EA's game after so many years of the vastly superior 2K series. College Hoops 2K8 was just about the perfect basketball game. You could run actual plays crisply, not buggy plays where the guys rarely make the right cuts. The controls were much better. Post moves were better. Stupid exclusivity contracts ruined college basketball video games the way it nearly ruined Madden for a few years. EA stepped up on Madden and NCAA football, but their basketball games have been awful for years, IMO.
Is there a nerd with no life that makes downloadable roster updates for CH 2K8? I'd be all over that. I'm not giving EA $60 for their game. It's amazing how bad it is compared to their football games.

Agree completely, I am a huge EA Sports fan, but EA college basketball has been awful, while 2K basketball has been much better. If memory serves correct, last year's roster had Brad Redford's "likeness" a 50 something rating on 3s but 70 or something on dunks.
The players are almost never what they should be ratings wise.

It is actually Temple. That is the game that we did the Blue/White sections. It was done because EA Sports was there doing their renderings of the Cintas Center.

If that's Temple... then EA needs to consult their color wheel. On my screen those uni's look UD/UC red. Perhaps I need an eye exam?
Not that I wish to dispute the guy who could, at any moment, give me a strong kick to the back of my head at most home games.

Another NCAA Basketball 10 story with a mention of Xavier:
http://sports.espn.go.com/videogames/news/story?id=4538345
"We also added a few new arenas. The one I'm most excited about is Lucas Oil. It's the Final Four venue next year, and it's this huge field house that holds 60,000 people for football and then they put in a basketball court and that number expands by about 10,000. It's pretty amazing to see basketball players running around in this huge, incredible venue. We also added Xavier's arena this year. It's more of an intimate environment and only holds around 10,000 people. It has these huge concrete walls on one end and looks really hot in the game."

I'm not saying they did a good job, but that is when they did their rendering of our arena.

True... but they could be showing any X home game in that trailer. I just think the backdrop of the crowd will always be one section blue and one section white as that's how they did it based on the info they had.

Was 2008 the last year they made an NCAA basketball game in the 2K series? The NBA 2K9 game was awesome. I am not a big NBA guy, but I love this game and thought it was fairly easy to play. If they have a current 2K series for the NCAA games, I want to see what that looks like.

You're not locked into keeping any of the ratings, or even player likenesses, for that matter. Every player in the game can be changed. And if you're lazy, all you need to do is wait for a few weeks before someone comes out with full rosters for every team that can be downloaded.

EA's basketball games are like playing sega compared to the 2k games.
I was so upset when 2k decided to stop making their college game.

I don't think 2k decided to stop making the game. I think that the NCAA signed an agreement with EA and it forced 2K to stop making the game. I could be wrong though, it hasn't happened yet today so it will.
