So is this kid my half cousin? Or how does that work? You really f-ed my family tree, I can't keep all the branches straight.

nuts, you have to remember that MOR is originally from that part of the country where there are mother-sisters and father-brothers. So, family trees are a bit confusing. :D

Way to go Bombers! This is like XU losing to Belmont and then turning around and beating UC the next game. Way to get the focus back.

Hey, I can't help it if Nut's Mom thought I was hot.

It was "Family Tree" that facilitated the act.

He'd be your third cousin thrice removed on the down-side.

The only thing you need to know is that your Mom kept my branch straight.

We're on the way to victory,
And when the Bombers get that ball,
They'll run right through the other team
And hit 'em hard until they fall.

Fight, Fight, Fight

We're on the way to win that game,
And then we'll let our banners fly;
For we are the unexcelled
Bombers of Xavier High!

I am convinced that St. Charles will never beat DeSales in my lifetime - and the scary thing is they held them to 10 points last night. At least they can beat Watterson once a decade.

On all fronts, I would rather wear Blue than Purple. Sorry Drudy but I have to be honest on this one. Go X HS and college.

Don't really care about losing this game but losing your best lineman last week and your best wr on the first play of the St. X game, both for the season, really sucks.
I'd much rather wear purple.

Yeah, I feel bad for those kids to be out for the season. And both kids are headed to Indiana, is that right?

Yep, both Indiana recruits. Just a shame.

St. X is the greatest high school in the land!

I went to an all boys catholic school in NKY that dominated athletics, but I've never quite understood the fascination with high schools in Cincinnati.

Have to experience it to understand it. Andre Caldwell was at the game Friday night and was amazed at what he saw. He said he has never seen anything like it. And that was at St. X, which only seats 3,700 and has 4,300 standing. At the pit, its 10,000 plus with only around 1000 standing. Ridiculous.
The tailgating at St. X was very strong. Lasalle, St. X, Elder, and Colerain have the real deal tailgating going on. Probably better than UC's tailgates up at that sh*thole Clifton.

Any Walnut Hills fans/followers here?

I follow West Carrollton becasue my wife teaches there, and since my high school is winless, I've taken to WC quite a bit this year. Looks like they'll win out and finish 4th in Region 8. Walnut Hills is currently 5th.. What's Walnut Hills like? I saw they lost to Turpin by quite a bit, but I don't know anything about their team. Looks like Wilmington is the only good team left on their schedule. Are they good enough to win out and stay 5th? I really don't want WC to play the cheaters and scumbags that are Trotwood.

Walnut hasn't exactly played the strongest schedule, I think Hughes dressed less than 35 guys when those two schools played. That said, it's impressive what they're doing, considering how awful that program has been as of late, but I'm not sure they're playoff caliber quite yet.

3,700 -4,000??? Did you know X completely renovated their stadium in '03? It now seats around 8,000 and you can actually watch the game from the first three rows of the stands unlike at the Pit.

Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) and Rey Maualuga were at the pep rally on Friday during the day.

X's defense played great against Elder.

As an Elder season ticket holder and alum, I am sad about the loss, the season-ending injuries, and the rest of Elder's season. Unfortunately, losing our top receiver will probably not be overcome. Expect continued offensive struggles the rest of 2009 for the Panthers. Go Bengals! I'm ready for the Muskies to hit the floor!

I played for St X in the mid 50s, and we were 0-10-1. Our Lady of Angels tied us.

What a great game! Sat four rows from the field at the fifty right behind the St. X bench. What a perfect night for HS football too. The wife and I got there at 5:30pm and the place was ABSOLUTELY packed already. The Bomber D looked great after Elder's first possession. Miller looked a little off tonight for Elder and Welch dropped quite a few catchable balls. Massa was solid for X and Hundley is a nice back for a Sophomore.

Also great to hear my Watterson Eagles beat a GCL foe...even if it was LaSalle.
