OK, it's the middle of the offeason and I'm bored with the net, so I figured I'd start a topic that might widen our internet horizons. Here's the deal: list the sites that you visit on a daily basis but don't include the obvious (like X-Hoops, ESPN, Cincinnati.com, etc.) that everyone goes to. If you think that at least one person on the board hasn't heard of it, list it. And if Kahns so chooses to participate, he can start a mirror thread on the Lounge board.

Here goes my list:

http://www.woot.com/

http://www.amazon.com/gp/goldbox/ref=cs_top_nav_gb27 (specifically the goldbox/deal of the day page)

This is one funny site. I now understand better why some of my wine brands don't sell in this environment.

I don't know what to write about this. Kids on leashes. Mortal sin clothing infractions. Body shapes that defy logic. The willful exposure of certain body parts that create agony for the viewer.

I made it through over 20 pages; I couldn't stop because of some weird, almost morbid form of curiousity. I believe I snapped and kept going deeper once I saw the dead deer in the trunk of the car in the parking lot. Someone went shopping with the ass-end of a dead deer sticking out of their car. A large, mostly dead animal sitting there in the parking lot ready to unleash a dead deer fart your way if you happened to walk by it.

On the one hand, I fear for the human race and this nation. On the other hand, assuming aliens come and they happen into one of these stores initially, I have no doubt we'll be safe from them: they'll bolt out of here fast and contact the intergalactic AAA to have them post a warning about getting too close to earth.

From a UC Honors Student:

"Today, I was going at a big concert in my university. I paid around a hundred-twenty bucks for my ticket. Outside the venue, people were handing out the tickets. For free. FML"

Beyond getting duped, I wonder if it would have been easier for him to have gone to the big concert.

Let's be clear. Someone went shopping with the VIOLATED AND BLEEDING ass end of a dead deer sticking out of their car. I understand evisceration is necessary to keep the meat safe for eating but damn that is a sight I never needed to see.

Most frequently visited sites for me:

sparkpeople.com (yes, I need it because I'm a fat ass, but it's a great site)
imdb.com (I'm a movie addict)
nytimes.com

This is bad, but my girls used to go to WalMart and play "Fatter or Uglier". They would take sides and get a point if a person was fatter or uglier. They would blow up laughing when they couldn't decide who got the point. To be fair, they started the game at our Cosco in the Bay Area before they knew WalMarts existed, but it isn't really a game that you can play at a Nordstroms or a Macys.

Scads of fun here! Apologies for a few duplications from earlier posts, and before you say it, no there's not much else going on up here, Maine winters are very cold and very long.
