FYI--for hockey fans out there, xavier's club hockey team is getting ready to kick off its season next week...they've got a robust schedule this year and are calling the Cincinnati Gardens home.

The team won their first two games against NKU 10-2 and 11-7. They head to Pittsburgh for three games this weekend and then Louisville the next weekend. The team is back home 10/16 vs. EKU.

I can't speak for the team here (maybe puck can?) but I know a couple people who have been able to procure jerseys in the past. I can't see why the team wouldn't be interested in selling some apparel...it's good marketing for them & gives a few bucks to the program.

I'll send an email to some people I know and ask.

The XU hockey team swept Division 2 University of louisville this past weekend, 12-3 and 7-0. They return to action on October 16.

I believe the team is back in action tonight, tomorrow and Sunday at the Cincinnati Gardens. Game time is 9 p.m Friday and Saturday & I think 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The team won 5-3 over EKU tonight. EKU is ACHA DII and Xavier is DIII so this will help their rankings immensely. This is also the first time that Xavier has beaten EKU in program history. The team is back on the ice Saturday night at 9pm vs Denison and then again Sunday afternoon at 1, also vs Denison. Both games are at the Cincinnati Gardens.

We're just trying to figure out the whole PayPal system with the team budget.

Does the Cinti. Gardens still have an ice rink to the east of the main building and, if so, is that the home of the Muskies' Icemen?

They still have the small rink off of the main building, but the team plays and practices in the main arena. Their locker room is in the main arena as well.

It's a nice home to have as well...great venue for hockey!! I got to peek in the new locker room this past weekend and I must say for a club sport, that's a great place to have as their own. I wish we would have had that when i was in college :P

The team is now ranked in their American collegiate hockey association division 3 region. #13 I think. Way to go guys!

XUPuck--what's the latest & greatest news from the hockey squad? Any news on making jerseys/items available for public sale?
