I had my eye on one o' them fancy i-phones like Thor gots, and that Steve Jobs feller just went and slashed the prices right before my old contract is up. So now I have to choose between more for the same, or the same for less.

On a side note, I can't believe "compass" is one of the new, highly touted features of the new iphone.

I'm at the exact opposite end of that, Kahn's I just inked a deal for my iPhone in March. So I just paid $199 for a $99 phone. Well, they always said electronics loose value as soon as you take them off the dealers shelf.

Of the new features of the new phone - the increased battery life is by far the most appealing, the video camera doesn't really appeal to me, but the auto focus camera does. Then again I can get a zoom camera app from the App Store for a couple bucks, as well as a compass app for a couple bucks. The new iPhone model itself is not enough to make me shell out of my own pocket to upgrade handsets before the contract runs out, but I will bear in mind to wait till July 2011 instead of March 2011 to upgrade.

But I do get the new OS update on June 17, free to existing iPhone users, and at a slight charge to current iTouch users. Thats adds a bunch of nifty features to my existing iPhone. (phone wide search, copy/paste, amongst others). I'm more peturbed at AT&T who should have known before now that Apple was adding MMS capability and had it ready to roll June 17, but no, while other coutnries iPhone users can use MMS and tethering (using the iPhone as a modem for a laptop) as soon as they get the new OS, those of us in the USA under AT&T have to wait till AT&T decides it wants to enable those features. From what I understand the rioting crowd with torches and pitchforks is already headed in AT&T's direction.

Apple also announced some deep costs cuts on their computers.

That said I love my iPhone, how did I live without it. I can get xavier updates so many ways now while on the road. Be sure to download the free iheart radio app, its from Clear Channel and offers internet radio for 700 and 55 (and TONS of other channels) , I'd say that will be pretty valuable come basketball season... (WEBN, 1530, 1360, and 107 also appear on the iheart radio menu for the Cincinnati market, but don't worry you are free to change to any market you'd like off the list) (Recall the Reds and Bengals forbid 700 from webcasting their games)

Look at that Apple just sent me a an email introducing the new iPhone models...

Coaster don't be surprised if you get a $99 check from Apple to be spent in their stores, if I remember correctly, they did that for the people who just purchased the Iphone prior to the new one coming out last time.

There are so many great applications out there I can't decide which is my favorite...Sportacular? Urbanspoon? Shazam? Radar? Imapmyride? Directv? Heck, ever channel 9 has an application with all their news and stuff.

I have too much free time.

I HATE dayton.

There have also been rumors swirling that iPhone and Verizon will ink a deal next year, allowing Verizon customers to pick up the iPhone on their network. Good news for Apple, but bad news for AT&T, who would no longer be the exclusive provider.
