Ta’Shia Phillips has been selected as a member of the 2009 USA Women’s World University Games Team Trials roster...

From Shannon's blog:

Ta'Shia Phillips nets honor (http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=blog05&plckController=Blog&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&plckPostId=Blog%3afdda4dab-ab39-43a7-8ba8-36da2f75a889Post%3aaa6c0da1-3689-4701-a393-4425447a12b4&sid=sitelife.cincinnati.com)

Congratulations and good luck, TaShia!

I don't read the women's forums much but I just wanted to say how nice a person Phillips is. I met her in the Xavier bookstore once and she just started talking to me out of the blue. She seemed like a very nice and genuine person.

Congrats to Ta'Shia!

Prince, Moore, Lavender, Hightower, Appel, that's a pretty powerful group you're a part of T!
Now the rest of the country is learning what we already know, you're one of the best!!

Tashia has just been named one of the 14 finalists to the team, and is the only non-BCS player on the final roster. That is quite an honor considering the other teams represented on the roster. Here is the link: http://www.goxavier.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/051709aaa.html. It is not quite the final cut because the roster will be pared to 12 in about 3 weeks, but she obviously has played very well in the trials to date.

Phillips and Harris could be one of the best duos in the nation next season, assuming both are healthy.

Congrats to Ta'Shia!

I second that. I met her after a women's game and she did a great job talking to the kids, including my 8-year old niece.
