That radio call still gives me goosebumps when I hear it. Viva Andy Mac!!

I was a junior at XU at the time, watched the game in the village. We were 17 point underdogs, and we were not on any national radar. It was one of Poseys first games, and perhaps his first road game. Apart from Lennys dagger, Posey made some huge plays down the stretch including a layup to tie it at 69. I think TJ Johnson did some "enforcing" as well, as he almost came to blows with Fortson.

For me, the greatest crosstown shootout ever. It would be even better if there was some video footage out there. I'd like to re-live the last couple of minutes of that classic.

Still remember listing to that in my parents kitchen on AM radio! As much as I love TV there is nothing more intense and rewarding than listening to a game like that on the radio and then staying up for the highlights.

I remember a co-worker the next day sarcastically telling me "lucky shot" to which I replied "sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Xavier is both!"

I thought we could use a pick me up.

one other tidbit from this game that I always liked...the post game press conference. It was on the web for awhile, I think on cincinnati.com.

Skip was asked about the play that he drew up for the last possession...."Well, we wanted to get the ball to Lenny, and get the heck out of his way." Classic Skip, God rest his soul.

Classic. Andy is the greatest homer of all time. He can do no wrong in my heart.

I was at the game 3 years later, where the finish was almost as fantastic. A great pick-me-up indeed, Muskie.
