April Phillips, 6th women off the bench for the Musketeers this season, is now also a member of the Xavier University Track and Field team. This past weekend April competed in the All Ohio Championships track meet where she placed 5th I believe.
April transferred to Xavier from Georgia Tech where she originally threw. At GT she was a regional qualifier in the shot put and I believe placed 3rd or 4th in the ACC. So far this year she is first in the A10 by a foot beating out all 4 dayton throwers (who were 1,2,3,4 in the conference before she threw). April will be throwing Saturday in Indy and next week in the A10 championships. So come out and support her and the rest of the Track team!
