They are about to lose to UConn, which means we are no longer the only team to beat IU.

At least it wasnt a Big Ten loss, and they are still on pace to be Big Ten champs.

Did you really think IU was going to win out leaving Xavier as their lone defeat? I don't see why this loss is a big deal. It won't hurt IU much come selection time, and it is only their 2nd loss.

Outside of X and UConn, Indiana has played no one RPI wise. X is 17, UConn is 22. Next best? Illinois State at 44. They have played the 17, 22, 44, 69, 72, and 74 RPIs, going 4-2. 0fer vs top 50. The rest of their competition? Horrible. The other teams average an RPI of 197.

Indiana is a paper tiger. They are no where near as good as people think they are.

I agree with PMthor. Everytime I watch them play they struggle.

And some poor teams have challenged Indiana (like Illinois, for example).

The good news: The Big Ten is very weak. And because its a major conference, teams at the top of the Big Ten will garner some respect from the selection committee.

IU is a little overrated but i'll take the press for it no doubt. uconn with their size was a tough matchup for them today. i know one thing the IU fans were pi$$ed with lack of calls against uconn today.

I won't go so far as to say they're overrated. But they're built around a freshman shooting guard who's hyped over the moon. When he doesn't play well they don't. It's that simple. Trust me if Gordon gets hot, IU will be very dangerous.

It wouldn't hurt me if IU got hot. It certainly benefits X.
